Welcome to my website!

I'm the heart behind Chicken Shack Art, enjoying a vibrant and fulfilling new chapter following a busy career and family life. While sketching was a constant, quiet passion throughout my life, retirement finally gave me the gift of time to take up painting with the dedication I’d always dreamed of.
​Today, I create out of my garden studio, which sits on the very spot where I used to keep my chickens—a cosy space that has transformed from a home for my hens into my personal creative sanctuary.
​Guided by my wonderful teacher, Glyn Whiting, my journey over the past three years has taken me from practicing techniques in the studio to painting plein air amidst the stunning landscapes of the French countryside.
​Because I paint purely what speaks to my heart, I love to keep my work versatile and varied. You’ll find everything from serene nature studies to bold, expressive pieces in my collection. For me, art is at its best when it is shared with others—hearing how a piece resonates with someone or brings a little joy to their day is easily the most rewarding part of this journey.
